Below are questions that many of you asked as the preparations were being made for the 21 Club.  If you have additional questions, please complete this form.  You can ask the question anonymously by leaving your name and email blank.

Why does St. James have a Revnue Enhancement Committee

As everyone is aware, costs today continue to escalate.  Making "ends meet" is increasingly difficult, while continuing to provide the level of service and support that St. James has historically given.  Weekly Offerings continue to sustain us on our everyday expenses, but there is not a lot of room for extending our outreach and community support. The Revenue Enhancement Committee has been tasked with investigating and developing ways to add to our revenue, while supporting the St. James Community.  The goal is to embark on activities and events that would add to our "bottom line" while providing an avenue that nurtures a sense of community within the Parish.

Why did the REC decide to offer the 21 Club?

The 21 Club offers a great opportunity for adding a significant amount of revenue to St. James in a short period of time.  A number of Parishioners have been exposed to this type of "fun" raiser at former parishes.  One such Parish successfully runs two  "clubs" per year, adding over $20,000 in additional revenue per year to the General Fund.

How many tickets are being sold?

We have printed 1,200 tickets.  We project to sell at least 1,000 of these tickets, based on results at other Parishes of similar size.

When will the drawings take place?

We will make the drawing of the three weekly prizes after the 9AM Mass during the Coffee time.  If there is a change in this schedule, it will be announced in the eBulletin. The 10 Grand Prizes will be drawn on or about June 3.  We intend to coordinate the Grand Prize drawings with the date of the Parish Picnic, once that is determined.

Do I need to be present for the drawings?

No.  Winners will be notified by phone, email, and/or mail if they are not present.

Once a person wins, can they win again?

For the most part, yes.  For weekly drawings, all winners will be put back into the drawing pool, and have an opportunity to win again in the weekly drawings, and the Grand Prize drawings. The Grand Prize drawings will be "elimination".  For example, if someone wins one of the $500 prizes, their name will not be returned to the pool for a chance at the other Grand Prizes.
